Mary Schmidt

Mary’s wandering in the woods as a youngster, started a life long love for nature, and especially plants. This lead to an education in horticulture, landscape, and a long standing stint as a Master Gardener. She owns her own business in landscape gardening, greenhouse bedding plant production, and works with her husband on the land growing market vegetables and medicinal herbs.

Mary has been studying herbalism since 1995 and is now working for her Master’s degree in Herbal studies. She is an active member of the North Country Herbalist Guild, the Herb Growers Co-op in Minneapolis, and sits as VP on the board of the Crow River chapter of the Sustainable Farming Assoc of MN.
